Tarnishing quickly

I’ve only had my ring for a couple weeks now and I just noticed there is already a significant amount of tarnishing happening. The gold is rubbing off in places and it’s very upsetting because I love this ring! There also was an odd dot/bump on the ring that looks like an engraving but I don’t believe it is supposed to be there. I got another ring in my order and it has held up significantly better, so I’m not sure what’s wrong :(

Silver and vermeil coating can be less durable than other materials so I'm currently working on a much sturdier version in stainless steel, so I'd love to send you that when it's ready, feel free to reach out to me if you change your mind and want to test it out!
